Since the police assassinated her, activists all over the world are always fighting to get justice to Breonna Taylor, but what hip-hop artist JW Lucas tweeted on Thursday, July 30, was not well received by everyone. He faced a strong backlash after uploading a message which seemingly appeared to excuse the murder of the woman.
Lucas wrote on the micro-blogging website, “Why is the world asking for justice for #BreonnaTaylor…of course she shouldn’t have lost her life….but do you realize that she was involved with multiple drug dealers who were using her house as a trap spot? If you sign up for that life there are consequences.” The uproar was almost immediate, but Lucas didn’t think he said anything incorrect and s.
Instead of easing down the crisis, he caused it worse than they had already been. Lucas responded, “That ain’t me. I don’t give a f**k about what color skin I have.” He then hit out at individuals who claimed he was canceled because of his post. And he hit back at people who said that he had been cancelled.
