Jennifer Lynn Lopez, a.k.a. Jennifer Lopez, born on July 24, 1970, in the Soundview section of the Bronx, New York County, New York, is known as a Puerto Rican-American fashion actress, musician, designer, dancer and model. She was born to David Lopez, a computer specialist who used to teach kindergarten at Guardian Insurance in NYC, and Guadalupe, in Westchester City, New York. That’s exactly what people term her, J. Lo, the middle of these three daughters. Her elder sister, Leslie, is a housewife and opera singer, and her younger sister, Lynda, is a WKTU DJ from New York, a VH1 VJ, and a reporter for the morning news program on New York Channel 11.
Prior to attending a formal educational college, she took singing and dance lessons and spent her eight years at a Catholic high school for all girls named Holy Kin, located in the Bronx. After that, at Preston High School, she studied for four years, where she became known for as an exceptional athlete who actively competed in track, field and tennis. Her friends there called her ‘La Guitarra,’ because of her guitar-curved shape.
Just after she graduated from high school at the age of 18, J.Lo moved out of her parent’s house and worked at a law firm before having dance jobs at night. In 1990, when she was offered a part as a fly girl on Fox’s hit “In Living Color” sitcom, the breakthrough of J.Lo came. During the next two years, she went on to dance for the famous singer and actress Janet Jackson.
In movies such as “Mi Familia” “Money Train” (1995), and “U-Turn” (1997), Lopez started her acting career early in the 1990s and was remembered for her participation in the film “My Family” by Gregory Nava (1995) and the appearance of Selena Quintanilla in the film “Selena” (1997). The latter picture is a biographical portrayal of the life and career of Selena Quintanilla Perez, a Tejano singer whose flourishing c. c. (1997).
She later appeared in “Anaconda” (1997), “The Cell” (2000), “Angel Eyes” (2001), “The Wedding Planner” (2001), “Enough” (2002), “Maid in Manhattan” (2002), “Gigli” (2003), “Jersey Girl” (2004), “Shall We Dance?” After that, in “Out of Sight” (1998), where she played with George Clooney, J.Lo got her next position.
