The Storm Jonas Story :

When Storm Jonas occurred in 2016, Miri was a couple of months away from giving birth to a baby child. Jeannie did not focus on the big snow storm she was in due to being on maternity leave, therefore could watch other local channels report on the storm.

The hurricane Jonas was the most massive and one of the strongest ever to reach Baltimore, covering much of the Baltimore-Washington International Airport. Miri had a strategy and was preparing for the hurricane, living in a hotel a couple of blocks from the hospital she was registered to deliver at. The pregnant lady was not the only pregnant woman in the hotel; there were a few other pregnant women and physicians and nurses available nearby in the hotel.

A storm Jonas like the one Miri encountered was an intense measure of patience. Her ability to assess the snow outside with a pink ruler or to do a survey from her position takes up the bulk of her time.

Miri was sad she did not make it to the action, but she was grateful she had an inch of snow. At the moment, she had to work as a mother rather than she did as a weather scientist.
