A multi-ethnic person of Jewish, Portuguese, Chinese and African Sephardi origins who was called Sean Paul Henriques since his birth in Kingston, Jamaica on January 8, 1973, Sean has been intensely involved in music since he was just a little boy, even though he had been educated for years in swimming and water polo. Even so, instead of attending Wolmers High School, Kingston then relocated to Bel Air High School in Mandeville before enrolling at Jamaica’s College of Sciences,
Science and Technology (UTECH), where he later obtained a degree in Hotel Management, he decided to put his focus on his studies above singing profession. His foray through the music industry started when he was able to become acquainted with Third World, a popular Jamaican reggae band composed of Cat Coore, Rabbit Rugs and Carrot Jarret. After the community was inspired with his abilities, he joined up with them to make his own demo.
