Shemane (pronounced sha-main) Nugent is an American television personality, wife, mother, and fitness, and health enthusiast.

Personal Life & Family Background :

Shemane was born in Jackson County, Missouri, and was educated there. Growing up, her nickname was ‘Shelly’ since it was challenging for many to say the word.
She is married to the well-known American singer-songwriter and musician, Ted Nugent. There is a gap of 14 years of age between the two.


When he was the lead guitarist in the band The Amboy Dukes, formed in 1963, Ted initially achieved fame. After performing for many years with the project, he began his solo career.
Then Ted was a guest on Detroit’s WLLZ-FM, the couple met in October 1988, and Shemane was part of the station’s news team at the time.
They got married in 1989 after dating for a short while and had one baby, Rocco Winchester Nugent, together.

Shemane says the reason she was drawn to Ted was because despite being a rockstar, he lived a safe lifestyle that was drug-free, was enjoyable, and was enthusiastic about the stuff he enjoyed.

The couple are now staying on a ranch in Waco, Texas.

Shemane has been a wellness coach for more than three decades, concentrating on courses that concentrated on cycling, wrestling, body pump, fitness meditation, and kickboxing. In addition to the US, Zumba instructions have been trained around the world, including in Paris, London, and Australia.

Shemane has won several awards throughout her career, including the “World Zumba Workout Host” and was once also named “The Most Physical Person in Detroit.


She was detained at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport in 2013 for concealing her carry-on luggage with a handgun. There was no firing of the weapon and she said it was an innocent error. The authorities have imposed a minor fine against her for this.
Shemane has featured on shows such as Vh1, MTV, Exploration, CMT, Fox and C-SPAN on national TV channels.

In Jackson County, a 300-acre strip of land named ‘Sunrize,’ which is used for safari shooting and part-time residency, Ted and Shemane also own property.
The Michigan home (which was included in an episode of ‘MTV Cribs’) of the pair was infected with black mold. The mold had been developing and floating in the air between the walls of their beloved 5,000-square-foot home.

Thanks to a severe infection that had grown as a consequence of the black mold, Shemane had to take a break from her exercise lifestyle. She continued to suffer from migraines, tried to breathe, and had constant exhaustion, and her signs were close to those of heart failure.
