Kim Jong-dae (born September 21, 1992), who is well known by his stage name Chen, is a South Korean singer and songwriter. He debuted in 2012 as a part of the South Korean-Chinese boy band Exo and its Exo-M subgroup, and has been involved in the Exo-CBX and SM Ballad campaigns of SM Entertainment ever since. He is well known as the main vocalist of Exo for his role. Chen has also released songs for various other TV dramas, notably “Best Luck” for It’s Sweet, That’s Love (2014) and “Everytime” for Descendants of the Sun (2016). Chen made his solo debut with the extended play April and a Vine, which debuted at number two on the Gaon Album Chart in South Korea and spawned the hit single “Beautiful Goodbye” in 2019.
