He is the creator and chief executive officer of the Panama Jack Company, which he founded in 198Katz was born in 1943 in New York City and is an American businessman. During his college years at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, Katz was a lineman for the Florida Gators football team under coach Ray Graves from 1962 to 196When the Florida Gators defeated the Alabama Crimson Tide 10–6 in Tuscaloosa in 1963, he was a starting defensive lineman for the Gators.
