Glen Plake (born September 9, 1964) is a freestyle skier from the United States. He was born in Livermore, California, and grew up skiing Heavenly Valley in Lake Tahoe. He’s known for his roles in ski films like Greg Stump’s The Blizzard of Aahhhs, as well as his trademark Mohawk hairstyle, which he wears in blonde, purple, or blue. In America, Plake was a pioneer of extreme skiing. He was the host of the RSN show Reel Thrills. His official biography reads, “According to his official biography: “…his life was turned around by his third-grade teacher, who used a Möbius flip from the seminal film Ski the Outer Limits (1969) to demonstrate math. Glen made the connection between skiing and the rest of the world, realising that there were more powerful forces at work beneath the surface of the snow. Plake realised right then and there that skiing had something more in store for him.” Glen Plake and his wife Kimberly were married in 199Winters are now spent by the Plakes in Chamonix, France.
