Jack Roush (born April 19, 1942) is the founder, CEO, and co-owner of Roush Fenway Racing, a NASCAR team based in Concord, North Carolina. He also serves as the Chairman of the Board of Roush Enterprises, which he founded with his brother Jim.
In addition to Roush Racing, Roush Enterprises also includes Roush Industries, a freelance engineering firm; Roush Performance, an automotive aftermarket development company; and ROUSH CleanTech, a manufacturer of propane autogas fuel systems. All of these companies are based in Livonia, Michigan, where Roush Enterprises is headquartered. Across North America and Europe, his firms employ more than 2,000 individuals. He is renowned on the NASCAR circuit as “The Cat in the Hat,” since he is seldom seen without his signature Panama hat. It was on April 27, 2006, when Roush was inducted into the International Motorsports Hall of Fame. Roush was chosen to the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame in 2008, and he was officially inducted into the hall on September 13, 2010 in Novi, Michigan.
