Andrew Steele (born September 19, 1984 in Didsbury, Manchester) is a British track and field athlete who competes in the 400 metres and 4×400 m relay.He received his formal education at St. Bede’s College in Manchester. He is the son of Dr. Chris Steele, a resident health expert on ITV’s This Morning and a former member of the Royal Navy. Andrew participated in his first Olympic Games — the Beijing 2008 Games – in 200The solo 400 m race saw him run a personal best time of 44.94 seconds, advancing him to the semi-finals. As a member of the Great Britain team, he placed fourth in the final of the 4×400 m relay, just 0.6 seconds shy of a medal. During the spring training season, Andrew spends a few months at the Australian Institute of Sport, located near Canberra.
