Annabel Tiffin is an English broadcast journalist and presenter who works in the television and radio industry. Aside from the main 6:30pm show, TIffin co-hosts daily late news bulletins with Roger Johnson, as well as the weekly political programme Sunday Politics, which is only broadcast in the North West.
Tiffin is originally from Southampton and was raised in Cirencester before relocating to Manchester in 1990 and starting work at the Stockport Express Advertiser. She then went into local radio, where she worked for stations such as Signal Radio in Stoke and BRMB in Birmingham before becoming a presenter and reporter for Birmingham Live TV, a local cable television network that Tiffin founded in 1995 and was the first person to go on air.
After 18 months, she accepted a position as a reporter and bulletin presenter for Central Television in Nottingham, where she now works as Central News East. Tiffin began working for the BBC North West in 2003 as a presenter and producer for the late-night news broadcast North West Tonight, which aired weekdays. Later, she became a frequent stand-in anchor on the main evening show, and in May 2012, she was promoted to the position of main anchor.
Her work has included coverage of municipal and national elections, as well as regional current affairs programmes Inside Out North West and The Politics Show. She is married and the mother of two children.
