Dale MacKay is a Canadian chef who is most known for becoming the winner of the inaugural season of Top Chef Canada in 2011.MacKay began his career in the culinary sector as a fry cook in Vancouver, British Columbia, where he now lives. In the early 2000s, he relocated to London, England, where he accepted a position at Gordon Ramsay’s Claridge’s restaurant. He then worked at additional Ramsay restaurants in London, Tokyo, and New York City. Following the departure of Rob Feenie from Daniel Boulud’s Lumière restaurant in Vancouver in 2007, he went on to become executive chef at the business until it closed its doors in 201In 2011, he created his own pair of restaurants, ensemble and ensembleTap, which are located in the same building.
