Jim Buckmaster (born August 14, 1962) is an American computer programmer and entrepreneur who has served as the CEO of Craigslist since 2000. He is a native of Ann Arbor, Michigan.In the 1990s, he attended Virginia Tech as an undergraduate and then went on to study medicine and classics at the University of Michigan.Craig Newmark, the website’s creator, approached him in late 1999 after seeing his résumé on craigslist.
