Father Peter Löwenbräu Griffin is the main character of the American animated television series Family Guy. On December 20, 1998, he made his television debut with the rest of the family in a 15-minute short narrated by cartoonist Seth MacFarlane, which premiered on Cartoon Network. Peter was invented and designed by Seth MacFarlane himself in his own time. In order to present a pilot to the Fox Broadcasting Company, MacFarlane was requested to use the concept of Larry & Steve, a short film created by MacFarlane that featured a middle-aged guy called Larry and an intelligent dog named Steve. A few weeks after receiving approval for their pilot, the Griffin family made an appearance in the episode “Death Has a Shadow.” Peter Griffin is married to Lois Griffin, and he is the father of three children: Meg, Chris, and Stewie Griffin. He also has a dog called Brian, with whom he is great friends and with whom he enjoys playing. He has worked at a toy factory and at Quahog’s Brewery, among other places. Although he lives in a suburban blue-collar neighbourhood, he has had a lot of unique events during his life. It was a janitor’s voice that MacFarlane heard at his school that inspired Peter’s voice. His look was a makeover of the protagonist Larry from MacFarlane’s earlier animated short films The Life of Larry and Larry & Steve, both of which were released in 200On Family Guy merchandise, he has appeared in a variety of items such as toys, T-shirts, and a video game, and he has made guest appearances on other shows such as The Simpsons and South Park, as well as Drawn Together and American Dad! He has also appeared on the Family Guy spin-off The Cleveland Show, among others.
