Taiwo’s educational journey took him through Baptist Primary School in Kaduna and St. Paul’s College for his primary and secondary studies. In 1976, he embarked on a new chapter by enrolling at the University of Ibadan, where he completed his degree in petroleum engineering in 1981.

 

Career at NNPC and Beyond

After completing his studies, Taiwo Odukoya joined the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) in April 1982. His entry into NNPC was a result of the compulsory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme. However, in January 1994, he took a voluntary retirement from NNPC, setting his sights on a different path – a path that would lead him to become a spiritual leader and influencer in Nigeria.

Among his offspring is Jimmy Odukoya, the firstborn son of Pastor Taiwo and his first wife, Pastor Bimbo. The couple tied the knot in 1984, having met during their time at the University of Ibadan. Tragically, Pastor Bimbo Odukoya, along with 102 others, lost her life in a devastating plane crash involving Sosoliso Airlines Flight 1145.
