Future was born in Atlanta, Georgia on November 20, 1983, to Nayvadius Currency. “His stage name came in when members of the musical group The Dungeon Family dubbed him “The Future.” His nephew, artist Rico Wade, who is also a part of The Dungeon Family, inspired him to sharpen his writing ability and try a career as a rapper.

A series of mixtapes including “1000”, “Dirty Sprite” and “True Story” have been published by Future from 2010 to early 201A hit song named “Tony Montana” was included in this last one. Future also collaborated with Gucci Mane around this period on a collaboration album named “Free Bricks” wrote the song “Racks” from YC, and signed with a major label.

In September 2011, just days prior to dropping his new mixtape, “Streetz Calling” Future entered Epic Hits. Before he launched his debut record, it was first supposed to be released as his last mixtape, but he returned in January 2012 with another mixtape named ‘Astronaut Status.’ His debut album, Pluto, was released in April of the same year. “The album debuted at No. 2 on Billboard 200, including remixes of “Tony Montana” featuring Drake and “Magic” featuring T.I.

Later in 2012, on “Loveeeeeee Song” from Rihanna’s “Unapologetic” record, Future enjoyed high-profile co-writing and cameo credits. “He launched a compilation mixtape named “F.B.G.: The Movie” in early 2013 that features several artists signed to his label Freebandz.
Future also revealed his second album named ‘Future Hendrix’ in 2013 which was expected to be released later that year. He agreed, though, to retitle the project to “Honest” and published it early in 201It landed on the Billboard 200 at No. 2.

Then Future spent the remainder of the year rolling out three mixtapes and making news about his breakup from fiancee Ciara. At the end of 2014, he scored another big success, F**k Up Some Commas, and then announced his third release, DS2, in early 201The album arrived in the summer and made its debut on Billboard 200 at No. 1.
