Cristal (pronounced “Cree-stal,” IPA [kristal]); born Marta Victoria Moye Burges on February 23, 1934, in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina; and now living in Los Angeles, California) is an Argentinian-American actress and model. She is now enjoying her retirement. Her first English-language performance was as Margarita in the 1956 Western picture Comanche, directed by George Sherman and starring Dana Andrews. 

This was her first film role in the English language. In 1960, John Wayne approached her about playing Flaca in his epic film The Alamo. She agreed. Cristal made her television debut as a female matador on NBC’s The Tab Hunter Show during the 1960-61 season.
