“My Girl” and “Mrs. Right,” both produced by Walter Millsap, are the most well-known songs of Mindless Behavior, an American boy band best known for their hit “My Girl.” After being formed in Los Angeles in 2008 by Keisha Gamble, Walter Millsap (who has previously worked with Beyoncé and Timbaland), and Vincent Herbert (Lady Gaga, Toni Braxton), the band spent two years training in dance and singing before releasing their first song.
The group’s members are all in their early adolescent years. In November 2010, they appeared on The Today Show to perform “My Girl.” It was on September 20, 2011, that their first album, #1 Girl, was released. It debuted at number seven on the Billboard 200 album chart in the United States. Ahead of Janet Jackson’s 2011 tour, Mindless Behavior travelled alongside the Backstreet Boys, Justin Bieber, and Jason Derulo, and served as the only opening act for the singer.
Mindless Behavior also performed as the opening act for the inaugural BET Closer to My Dreams Tour, which included Diggy Simmons, Lil Twist, Tyga, Trevante and Jawan Harris among others. In 2011, Mindless Behavior headlined the SCREAM Tour, which also included The OMG Girlz, Jacob Latimore, and Hamiliton Park. The tour was co-headlined by Diggy Simmons.
