Tragic Details About Avicii's Death

Avicii’s Early Days

Avicii, whose real name was Tim Bergling, captured the world with his music, becoming a pioneer in the EDM scene. Born in 1989, he started making beats in his bedroom as a teenager. His journey to stardom began when he uploaded his music online, catching the attention of the music industry. Avicii signed a recording contract, and the name “Avici” stuck after a friend mentioned it means “the lowest level of Buddhist hell.”

Rise to Fame

In 2011, Avicii’s song “Levels,” featuring a sample from Etta James, turned him into an international sensation. Collaborations with DJ David Guetta and a Grammy nomination followed, solidifying his status. His debut album, “True,” released in 2014, featured the hit “Wake Me Up,” becoming the most-streamed song on Spotify at the time.

Hidden Struggles

Behind the scenes, Avicii faced health challenges. In 2012, acute pancreatitis landed him in the hospital due to heavy drinking. Battling anxiety and depression, he found solace in alcohol. Refusing medical advice, he faced gallbladder issues in 2014, leading to canceled performances. The toll on his physical and mental health prompted his retirement from performing in 2016.

Cry for Help

Despite his struggles, Avicii’s cries for help went unnoticed. His documentary, “Avicii: True Stories,” revealed the toll of fame on his well-being. The DJ openly admitted his discomfort with the spotlight, hinting that the lifestyle wasn’t for him. The lack of support from his team exacerbated his mental health issues.

The Tragic End

In April 2018, Avicii, aged 28, traveled to Oman for a break. Despite appearing excited about new music and enjoying his vacation, tragedy struck. Friends noted his unusual behavior, including extended periods of meditation. On April 20, the shocking news of Avicii’s death emerged. Although the official cause wasn’t immediately disclosed, his family later hinted at suicide, citing “extreme stress” and his quest for peace.

A Heartbreaking Goodbye

Avicii’s family revealed the DJ’s struggle with mental health and extreme stress, leading to his untimely death. Although the official autopsy report remains undisclosed, reports suggest he used broken glass in his tragic end. His last diary entry eerily reflected a sense of detachment from life. In an interview, his father emphasized wanting Tim to be remembered for his kind soul.
